The Evolution I Ink Jet Printer is designed as a basic low cost printing system, replacing contact roller coder printing for Product I.D. and date coding. With additional software options, the Evolution I easily becomes a replacement system for much higher priced "hi-res" large character printers meant for secondary carton coding as well as a viable alternative to the small character DOD, continuous inkjet and laser printers. The Evolution I standard system includes: a 4 line x 16 character LCD with keypad, high resolution print head module with mounting bracketry and internal product sensor for side coding. Standard features include: alpha/numeric character set, ability to control up to 32 print heads via RS 485.Bracketry for up to (4) print heads. Character Heights: 1/2" and 7/32". Message length: 24 characters in 1/2" and 48 characters in 7/32" (24/line). Print resolution: 300 DPI at 200 feet per minute. You can program the line speed and print direction, delaying the print if you would like for registration. Inverted printing and the ability to print in English or Spainish. The Evolution II can print 3/32", 1/8", 7/32" and 1/2" high characters. In addition to the standard Evolution I specifications, the Evolution II can store up to 100 messages and it can automatically repeat a message. Important characteristics include: password protection, variable date and time formats, sequential numbering, shif t coding, date offset, product counter, bar coding and multiple language prompts. The latest addition to the Evolution Printing family is a small character printer designed for printing a lot number or expiration date directly onto the primary product as it travels on the production line. The system inks are formulated for use on non-porous substrates including coated chipboard cartons, metals, most plastics and a variety of overwrap films.
